The women’s fitness program, Kaia FIT, is opening its doors to the community for a free week of classes.
“Spring is a good time to start getting healthy for summer,” said owner Nikki Warren. “It’s spring cleaning for your body.”
Starting Monday, women in Carson City and Minden/Gardnerville can drop in on any class that may interest them. Classes include cross training, TRX, running, cardio dance and a yoga and Pilates mix.
“They can come for just one class or for the whole week,” Warren said. “It’s not threatening, they don’t have to sign up for anything.”
She said she hopes with the variety of classes, women will find something they enjoy.
“They might fall in love with one aspect and just be motivated to continue to move,” Warren said. “Regardless if they stay with Kaia, we just want them to be inspired.”
Regular classes in Carson City are offered at 5, 6 and 8:30 a.m.; noon; and 5:30 p.m.
Minden classes are 5, 6, and 9 a.m.; and 6 p.m.

Introductory rates are being offered for Kaia FIT’s six-week boot camp session, which begins May 2. The program also includes nutrition education and certified trainers who offer personalized coaching in a group setting.
Warren said the offer is part of an effort to make exercise a priority.
“Our ultimate passion is to get everyone in town moving,” she said. “We want to help create a more healthy community.”
