Catmandu, a cage-free adoption center and home for cats in Carson City, is collecting donations at http://www.gofundme.com/Catmandu to help pay for emergency veterinary care and living expenses for dozens of homeless cats and kittens.
At any given time, Catmandu cares for about 60 cats and kittens. Before finding the cats permanent homes, the facility spays or neuters them and teaches them to trust people. After opening its doors 18 months ago, it has helped more than 250 cats and kittens.
Donations go to the shelter’s food, litter and medical costs, as well as new flooring and other upgrades.
Catmandu is at 1829 Brown St. For more information, call 775-297-3419, or go to http://www.catmanducc.org.
