Creative writing with Gayle Brandeis, winner of Barbara Kingsolver’s Bellwether Prize for Fiction of Social Engagement, will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6.
Mark McLaughllin will tell stories about the characters who played a role in the development of Western Nevada and Lake Tahoe at 10 a.m. Aug. 11.
The Jazz Guys will perform at 7 p.m. Aug. 20 on the outdoor patio.
Bob Nylen, curator of the Nevada State Museum, will present a history of the Capitol Building at 10 a.m. Aug. 31.
