Two adults and two children from Carson City were injured when their vehicle rolled over as they were pulling off Highway 395 onto Watshemu Road on Tuesday night.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 7:45 p.m.

An initial investigation showed a 1999 Lincoln Navigator driven by Anthony Robert Diaz Sr., 38, was making a left turn when it drove down embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels.

Diaz and passenger, Blanca Elizabeth Munguia-Diaz, 34, were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight helicopter with major nonlife threatening injuries

Two boys, one 12 years old and the other 2, were transported to Carson-Tahoe by ground with minor injuries.

Trooper Dave Gibson said the cause of the crash is under investigation.

This was the second accident in two days to require transport by emergency helicopter. At 5:28 p.m., a Reno resident received moderate but nonlife threatening injuries when he reportedly hit the guardrail at Spooner Junction at highways 50 and 28.

The man was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by CalStar ambulance helicopter
