THUNDERSTORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS MOVING NORTH THIS MORNING...


A BAND OF SHOWERS WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIFT NORTH

ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA EARLY THIS MORNING. THE THUNDERSTORMS MAY

CONTAIN MODERATE RAIN AND VERY GUSTY WINDS. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL

BE NORTH OF A LINE FROM LOVELOCK TO PYRAMID LAKE THROUGH 8 AM.

VERY DRY AIR NEAR THE SURFACE WITH ALLOW THE DEVELOPING STORMS TO

PRODUCE WIND GUSTS APPROACHING 50 MPH WHILE ALSO ALLOWING A FEW

DRY LIGHTNING STRIKES. THESE DRY LIGHTNING STRIKES COULD IGNITE

NEW FIRES. BEHIND THE GUSTY WINDS BRIEF MODERATE RAINS ARE

POSSIBLE.


THE GUSTY WINDS AND MODERATE ARE LIKELY TO AFFECT TRAFFIC ON

INTERSTATE 80 NORTH OF LOVELOCK AND HIGHWAY 447 BETWEEN NIXON AND

GERLACH THIS MORNING.
