Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of uttering a forged instrument

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 2:10 a.m., Melanie Sandomierski, 44, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. No bail was set.

At 4:27 p.m., David Pittman, 33, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony uttering a forged instrument after deputies responded to reports of a fraud at the Highway 50 VCM Collision shop. The manager claimed Pittman stole a check from a client’s car and tried to cash it. Bail was set at $5,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
