It seems the counsel for the defense had prepared a petition to the court for a writ of supersedes, based upon their notification to the District Judge of Lyon County, that an appeal would be taken from his decision denying their motion for a change of venue. They came over here, walked up to two of the Supreme Court judges and got the order for stay of proceedings. The court will decide at 8 o’clock this morning.
