Kaia FIT in Minden is hosting a 5K and 8K run/job/walk on Dec. 12 to support Leslie McGarry, a Gardnerville woman battling Stage 4 breast cancer.
The walk/job/run starts at 8 a.m. Parking will be at Tumbleweeds Gymnastics and Kaia FIT, 2231 Meridian Blvd., Suite 2, in Minden.
Carson City Fire Department Local 2251 will provide a pancake breakfast to all participants. Donations will be accepted for additional breakfasts. Drinks will be available for purchase.
The course will be marked and staffed. Aid stations will be provided. The event will not be a timed; there will be a clock at the finish line for runners to see their time. Dogs and bikes are not permitted on the course, but strollers are.
