The vacant Crafts Market and adjacent land on South Carson Street sold for $2.3 million Wednesday to a limited liability company tied to a California auto dealership group.

Rob Joiner of Nevada Premier Properties confirmed the sale, which closed and was shown in documents at the Carson City Recorder’s office as including two contiguous parcels from east to west between Carson and Curry streets that amounts to more than four acres.

The seller and the price were disclosed at the Carson City Recorder’s office. Crafts Market, LLC closed late in 2014 after years at the location on South Curry Street, which includes acreage to the east fronting on Carson Street. Joiner said the buyer was 2750 CC Holdings, LLC, which also was in the recorder’s documents, and the LLC name equates with the address of 2750 S. Carson St. The property is between the Toyota Scion dealership to the north and the Michael Hohl Honda dealership to the south.

The Nevada limited liability company manager was recorded on the Secretary of State’s Silver Plume business portal website as David A. Pedder, who was traced via the Internet to a Lake Elsinore, Calif., website. Pedder is listed as owner of The Pedder Automotive Co. and Lake Elsinore CDJR, a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership, according to information on that website.

The automotive group is listed as having five California auto dealerships.

They are Temecula Nissan in Temecula, Raceway Nissan in Riverside, Pedder Nissan in Hemet, as well as Hemet Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, also in Hemet, and the Lake Elsinore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram sales outlet.

In Carson City, Joiner didn’t share more than the purchasing name of 2750 CC Holdings, LLC. But he said he expected an announcement on more details would come later.

Pedder, meanwhile, on his Lake Elsinore dealership website, was listed as an owner, president and CEO with his organization. He started The Pedder Auto Group in August, 2008.

He also is said to have achieved numerous local and regional awards as acting general manager and co-owner of other automotive dealerships in Southern California, among them Rogers & Rogers Toyota and Rogers & Rogers Nissan.

Efforts to contact Pedder by telephone and email weren’t successful before the close of business Wednesday.

In Carson City, the Dick Campagni Auto Group’s Toyota Scion dealership is at 2590 S. Carson St. and the Michael Hohl Automotive Group’s Honda dealership is at 2800 S. Carson St.

If a dealership goes on the old Crafts Market property parcels, there will be a triple-threat automotive row lineup for vehicle sales there.
