RCM Realty Group joins up with Smith Team
RCM Realty Group is teaming up with the No. 1 top producing sales team in Carson City, opening a second office in Carson City. Sandi Smith, Kari Breuer and Kyle Wentz of The Smith Team will remain in their current location at 320 N. Carson St., which will make it RCM’s second location since opening their doors last year.
Sandi Smith is a broker/salesperson, a Certified Residential Specialist and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. A realtor since 1997, Smith is a 2006 graduate of the Nevada Association of Realtors Leadership Program. She also served as president of the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors in 2011, as well as Realtor of the Year for SNAR in 2011.
Kari Breuer is Smith’s oldest daughter, and after 14 years in the customer service industry with Smith’s Food and Drug, Breuer obtained her real estate license in 2001. She’s a Certified Residential Specialist, a Certified Distressed Property Expert, and a 2011 graduate of the NVAR Leadership Program.
Kyle Wentz is a broker/salesperson who holds a property management permit while currently working on his business broker license. Wentz, a fourth-generation Northern Nevadan, graduated from UNR in 2005 with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. He served as both a personal and real property appraiser for the Douglas County Assessor’s Office and went on as executive director of marketing with an international recruiting firm before jumping into real estate full-time in 2014.

Team Tatro Joins RE/MAX Realty Affiliates
Mother and daughter Kathy Tatro and Adrienne Jordan Phenix, also known as Team Tatro, have joined the RE/MAX Realty Affiliates office in Carson City.
Kathy Tatro has been a licensed realtor since 1997. In her first year as a realtor she was named “Rookie of the Year” by the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors. In 2001 she was named one of the top 50 realtors in the state. She served on the Board of Directors of the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors in many capacities, including her most recent term as president in 2014. Named Realtor of the Year in 2014 Tatro has been voted No. 1 Realtor by Nevada Appeal readers every year from 2005 through 2015. Tatro earned her bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Utah and served the Carson City legal community as a paralegal and a Pro Tem Justice of the Peace for many years. She holds the following real estate designations: Accredited Buyers Representative, Graduate Realtor institute, and Certified Residential Specialist.
Adrienne Jordan Phenix earned her real estate license in 2009 after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor’s in business marketing. She then joined Tatro, and Team Tatro was formed. Phenix recently obtained her master’s in education, but she says she loves being a realtor.
Team Tatro gives back in a variety of ways including: creating art projects and displays for the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada when it opened; serving on the Carson City Library Foundation for 13 years; serving on the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Foundation for three years; and serving on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada for 18 years, including serving as president of the Board in 2011.

Energy workshops planned
USDA Rural Development is holding energy workshops to help farmers and rural small business owners learn about how to use the Rural Energy for America Program grant to reduce energy costs.
Grant funding is available for up to 25 percent of the cost to purchase and build alternative energy systems — such as solar, wind and hydro power — or to enhance energy efficiency with new lighting, windows or more efficient HVAC systems.
Video-teleconference workshops will be at Rural Development office in Carson City and at Farm Service Centers in Fallon, Elko and Las Vegas. The sessions will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 19 and March 30 and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and March 8.
