The escaped convicts. The names of the convicts that escaped from the State Prison Tuesday and the crimes of which they are guilty are as follows: Dade, burglary; Donnery, robbery; Bolton, grand larceny; and Sharner, robbery. Dade and Bolton had both escaped before. Bolton was captured by N.E. Judd, Lieutenant of the Guard at Wellington’s Station. The others are said to be headed for Aurora.

The Appeal is under obligations for refreshments which were sent to this office from the Monarch saloon. If the place sells as good wine as it gives away it may be considered the most reliable saloon in the state.

Only one in jail. Unless something turns up to make business for the sheriff’s office, the job of that governmental department will be very easy for the ones in charge. For the past several days, there have been several United States prisoners there serving terms for selling whiskey to the Indians, but they have departed hence. The last of the batch will be through with his “bit” in a few days, then the local Bastille will be without a tenant.

Police arrested 483 drunken drivers in Nevada during the first 10 months of 1985 through tips from anonymous private citizens, the state Traffic Safety Division reported.
