Marie Nygren is the winner of the CC Communications 2015-2016 Directory Cover Contest.
The theme for the 17th annual competition was “Home is where the heart is – Home means Fallon/Churchill County” and her winning entry is of Buffalo Canyon.
“Buffalo Canyon is a beautiful place,” Nygren said. “When I am there it gives me a sense of freedom and space and connects me to God. I feel at home.”
She received the $250 grand prize, and the photo will be displayed on the cover of the 2015-2016 CC Communications telephone directory published in July 2015.
CC Communications each year donates contest entry fees to a local community service organization. Domestic Violence Intervention will receive the contribution for 2015-2016.
“CC Communications sponsors its annual cover contest to give residents of Churchill County the opportunity to contribute to the development of their telephone directory. The contest shows off local talent and it helps raise money for a valuable local cause,” said Mark Feest, CC Communications general manager.
Luis Ramirez received second place and Wendy Mello took third place.
