The lecture, by Miss Hart, last evening, on the subject of woman’s war with whiskey, was well attended. Miss Hart acquitted herself acceptably to the audience. The subject necessitates the reiteration of proxy statements of fact, which are non the less needed because they are not now, in the interest of reform. The lectures made a local hit and created a sensation by an appeal to the audience, which she called a Carson Appeal in favor of temperance reform.

Dust to dust (continued from Wednesday). The first division was the marshal, aids and staff, the second comprised Company f., Nevada National Guard followed by Section Battery A, the remains of the soldiers, Mexican war veterans, Custer Post No. 5, Phil Kearney Post No. 10 and O.M. Mitchell Post No. 69. The third division had state officers, members of the Legislature, county and city officers, children of the public schools, citizens on foot, and carriages. The chief justice of the Nevada Supreme Court was found near death in his luxurious Lake Tahoe apartment Tuesday with severe head injuries. Justice Frank McNamee was unconscious and in critical condition at a Reno hospital.
