Angela Sullivan, a local woman who travelled to the Tibetan Buddhist heart of the upper Mustang Region of Northern Nepal with her 17-year-old son and a group of students, will talk about her trip at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in Carson City Library’s Digitorium.
The group journeyed with Sullivan’s Dharma teacher and a team of Sherpas as they trekked for a month along ancient pilgrimage routes. They covered over 250 miles and passes as high as 17,700 feet. The highlight of the trip was staying in the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang, the royal seat of the Kingdom of Lo.
The program is part of the library’s Explore the World @ Your Library, a series of presentations by people from other countries or by those who have traveled to far-away places.
