Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Woman arrested on suspicion of meth possession

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

• At 8:40 a.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense after deputies were dispatched to the area of College Parkway and Airport Road to investigate a reported domestic dispute. He was also charged with a failure to appear warrant and held in lieu of $4,405 bail.

• At 9:19 p.m., a 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of paraphernalia after deputies saw a glass meth pipe next to him on a bench on Hot Springs road. Bail was set at $1,000. Another 20-year-old with him was charged with trespass after being barred from Walmart and violating suspended sentence conditions. His bail was set at $1,150.

FRIDAY

• At 12:07 a.m., a 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and an open container after a traffic stop for a broken tail light on North Carson at Winnie Lane. In addition, he was charged with no proof of insurance and violating bail conditions that bar the use of alcohol. Total bail was set at $4,700.

• At 12:27 a.m., Ashley Ambrose, 30, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony meth possession and one count of parole violation after she and another woman were interviewed on East Nye Lane at College Parkway. She was held without bail on the parole violation count. The 31-year-old with her was charged with possession of paraphernalia and held in lieu of $1,000 bail. In addition, Lydia Reyes, 32, was charged with providing false ID to avoid prosecution, possession of paraphernalia and contempt of court. Her bail was set at $6,500.

• At 12:41 a.m., a 26-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after what was first reported as a traffic accident at Nye and Mountain streets. He was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, resulting in him hitting the curb. Total bail was set at $1,040.
