Doggone it, respect your neighbors
I can understand people’s dogs getting out occasionally, but what I don’t understand is why some people who live in rural areas have no respect for other people’s property.
Just because the land is vacant, they feel they can drive cars, dirt bikes and motorcycles across the property and chase the horses. They let their dogs run loose all the time or let the dogs bark constantly with no shelter from the weather.
If my dogs bark more than a few minutes, doesn’t matter the time, I see what’s going on and make them be quiet for respect of the neighbors. Guess some people don’t know what respect means.

Don’t text while driving, use crosswalk
My fellow Nevadans, perhaps we know each other in various ways. I am your family, your neighbor, or your friend. I attended your birthday party or anniversary celebration and had a great time. Perhaps we had a casual discussion about politics or the weather as we sat next to each other at the airport, in the casino, or at a bus stop. I would superficially recognize you and say hello as we passed each other in the restaurant, and acknowledge and smile at those who are with you. You know me by hearing about me on the nightly news or reading about me in the newspapers. I am possibly in the obituaries by now.
I am the one who texts while driving, doesn’t use the crosswalk, and takes foolish chances. I may or may not have been drinking. You know me, but I don’t know myself. Safe wishes for 2015!
