Service on spiritual healing planned
“What is spiritual healing?” is the topic of a worship service sponsored by Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God, at 10 a.m. Jan. 17 at the Carson City Community Center.
The one-hour service is free. A facilitator will give a brief talk, which will be followed by readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.

Gospel concert to feature Cornell Trio
Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, 1505 Railroad Drive, is hosting the Cornell Trio at 6 p.m. Dec. 17.
The Cornell Trio was nominated for five SGN Diamond Awards, three of which were for Trio of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission to the gospel concert is free.
