An arrest warrant has been issued for a Schurz man suspected of robbing the City Liquor and Food Store on Sunday.
According to Fallon Police Capt. Ron Wenger, the robbery occurred at about 9:30 p.m. at 189 W. Williams Ave., when the man, identified as Aaron Plummer, 26, entered the convenience store wearing a ballcap, a “Nevada” sweatshirt and sweat pants. A bandana covered his face.
“The male then had the clerk go to a back room and threatened her with harm if she came out,” Wenger said.
He added the suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash.
Wenger described Plummer as a Native American, 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. Wenger said there are no distinguishable features.
According to Wenger, once FPD officers arrived at the store and began to secure the scene, they also attempted identify the suspect. He said detectives collected evidence left at or near the scene, which provided clues to Plummer’s identity.
Wenger said cooperation with the detectives division and the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Police led to the quick resolution of the crime.
