Carson City animal shelter needs donations of kitten food

The Nevada Human Society is seeking donations of kitten food to keep up with the addition of hundreds of new kittens to the shelter’s foster program this summer

Tax deductible donations of bagged and canned kitten food of all brands are needed the most. Adult cat food is also needed; dog food is not.

Donations can be made from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays through Fridays; and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays, except for the Fourth of July, when the shelter closes at 5 p.m. The shelter, which also has a wish list on Amazon.com where food can be sent through online donations, is at 3770 Butti Way in Carson City or 2825 Longley Lane in Reno.
