Nevada Tannery, a one-stop shop for tanning, taxidermy and rugging needs, held its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on June 26.

The new Fallon business is located at 150 Industrial Way.

Nevada Tannery is a custom tanning and taxidermy shop specializing in North and South American, African and exotic big-game animals from around the world. Nevada Tannery serves as Nevada’s first and only commercial tannery, eliminating the need to send precious trophies out of state to be tanned. The work is done onsite in Fallon.

Nevada Tannery provides retail services to hunter, trappers and the farming and ranching communities locally and worldwide. In addition, wholesale tanning and big-game rugging services are provided to licensed, professional taxidermists.

As Nevada’s only commercial tannery bringing new industry to Nevada, and specifically, Fallon, the business looks forward to growth and future employment possibilities for local residents.
