Carson City road report for July 13-19

The following information applies to the period of July 13-19.

Clear Creek Avenue will continue to be closed to through traffic Monday through Thursday between Lynette Lane and Center Drive due to utility work. Detours will be signed and the JAC bus stop on Clear Creek Avenue will be temporarily relocated near the intersection of Frontage Road and Clear Creek Avenue.

Utility work will continue Monday, July 13, through Thursday, July 16, with closures along Eighth Street between Curry and Minnesota streets from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day. There will be flagger controlled traffic.

On Sunday, July 12, there will be intermittent lane closures on Roop Street between Robinson and Corbett streets due to roadway maintenance. Two-way traffic will be maintained; drivers are asked to use caution.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will continue construction of drainage improvements on U.S. Highway 50 West between the two truck ramps (just west of U.S. 395 to Sierra Highlands Drive). There will be lane closures weekdays, but the roadway will remain open to traffic in both directions.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will continue work on the construction of the next phase of the Carson City Freeway. Installation of fencing along the freeway corridor from Fairview Drive down to the Carson Street/US 50 W. intersection will continue.
