Carson City Fuji dog park to be closed for the fair

Beginning Monday, July 27, through Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Fuji Dog Park will be closed to the public due to the Nevada Fair.

The park will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Other dog-friendly park facilities in Carson City include:

Long Ranch Park, Longview Way and Waterford Drive. Dogs are allowed on or off-leash in designated areas of the park.

Sonoma Park, 1003 Sonoma St., east of Baker Drive. Dogs are allowed on or off- leash.

Ronald D. Wilson Memorial Park, Mark Way and James Drive. Dogs are allowed on-leash only.

Riverview Park Trails, East Fifth St. and Marsh Road, east end of Fifth St. Dogs are allowed on or off-leash.

Blackwells Pond Park, Northridge and Spooner drives. Dogs are allowed on or off- leash.

Steinheimer Park, Ridgecrest Drive and Oxbow Lane. Dogs are allowed on or off-leash.

Treadway Park, 1110 N. Minnesota St. Dogs are allowed on-leash only.

V&T Multi-Use Path, Murphy Drive and Ash Canyon Road. Dogs are allowed on or off-leash.
