Carson City road report June 1-7

The following information applies to the period of June 1-7.

Roadway sealing will continue, resulting in road closures in the following areas with traffic control in place:

The area along Deer Run Road and Pinon Hills Drive on Monday, June 1.

The general vicinity of Washington Street to the north, Roop Street to the east, Seventh Street to the south, and Carson Street to the west; as well as along Morgan Mill Road on Sunday, June 7.

Beginning Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3, the outside westbound lane on William Street will be closed between Roop Street and Anderson Street from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Beginning Tuesday, June 2, through Thursday, June 4, the outside northbound lane will be closed on the Carson City Freeway (I-580) between the William Street and College Parkway interchanges from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Beginning Monday, June 1, there will be lane restrictions on westbound Fifth Street between Well Way and Riparian Way due to work on the north side of the median. Some delays are expected.

Beginning Monday, June 1, sidewalk improvements will be constructed at the main entrance to Western Nevada College from College Parkway. There may be limited access at the main entrance at times.

On Wednesday, June 3, the eastbound right turn lane on Fifth Street onto southbound Stewart Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Right turns will still be permitted from the through lane.

There will be lane closures at the intersection of Bigelow Drive and Race Track Road with flagger controlled traffic on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Friday, June 5, Third Street will be closed between Curry Street and Carson Street from 2 p.m. to midnight, due to a special event.
