June in Fallon means Octane Fest is back once again.
The annual motorsports festival commences June 12-14 at three locations with action for various fans.
Drag racing enthusiasts have three days of heart-pounding speed as the NHRA Desert Heat series at Top Gun Speedway rolls in conjunction with Octane Fest.
Rattlesnake Raceway features two days of dirt track racing on June 13-14, while the big show at the Churchill County Fairgrounds is back for another two-day event.
The monster truck show is the highlight of the weekend and doors open at 6 p.m. on June 12.
It kicks off at 7 p.m. with the high-flying freestyle motocross tentatively pitting California against Nevada riders. Taking center stage next is a show from the Northern Nevada Outlaw Karts drivers, as the youngsters put on a display for the crowd.
Closing the show is the highly anticipated monster truck show followed by the Beast Jet Dragster. In addition, the June 12 show includes a free pit party for those fans who purchase a ticket.
On June 13, the show returns with one difference, in place of the karts will be mud racing finals. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.
Admission to the show on June 12 is $13 for adults and $9 for children 10 and under. Prices on June 13 increase by $1 for adults and children.
Cost for a NHRA ticket is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-14, while children 5 and under are free with a paid adult. Tickets include a pit pass.
At Rattlesnake, tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-14 and children 5 and under are free with a paid adult.
Tickets can be purchased at O’Reilly Auto stores and the Fallon Convention Center.
