Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for June 12. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Avanti Market at NDOT, 1263 S. Stewart St., scored 100 points.

Casey’s, bar, 212 Elks Point Road, Suite 101, 100 points.

Capisce, bar, 178 U.S. Highway 50, 99 points. There was no measurable sanitizer residual in a spray bottle, corrected on site.

Capital Coffee, 504 E. Musser St., 98 points. A freezer was operating at 17 degrees.

Capisce, restaurant, 178 U.S. Highway 50, 98 points. The upper half of the main ice machine was not clean.

Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake Pizza, 1894 E. Highway 50, Suite 5, 100 points.

Walmart Supercenter, bakery, 3200 Market St., 97 points. There were no paper towels at two hand sinks.

Golden Dragon Restaurant, 3250 Retail Drive, Suite 150, 96 points. Bags of ice were stored on the floor in the walk-in freezer, and bags of food were found on the floor in the dry storage room. There was a puddle of grease on the floor at the left corner of the grill hood. Dish racks, some of which were dirty, were stored on the floor.

Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar, 301 N. Carson St., 96 points. There were no chlorine test strips available to test the sanitizer level in the dishwasher. The ice scoop and container above the main ice machine were not clean.

Lake Tahoe Brewing Co., 302 N. Carson St., 96 points. Exterior doors were open without proper screening to prevent the entry of pests and environmental debris.

Port of Subs, 3721 N. Carson St., 95 points. The use-by date of a carton of milk in the reach-in was passed. The wiping cloth hanging at the front service counter had no residual chlorine sanitizer in it. The handles of the reach-ins were not clean. An employee’s personal items stored in the center of the kitchen. Employees stored their own food along with customer food items.

Little Caesar’s Pizza, 1820 E. William St., 93 points. The door latch on the walk-in refrigerator was broken. The can opener was dirty. The spring for the restroom door was missing.

Capitol Shell, 1462 S. Carson St., 90 points. The sandwich and bottled drink reach-in held a temperature of 54 degrees. The surface temperatures of packaged sandwiches were from 56 to 70 degrees. Staff cut ready-to-eat lettuce without wearing gloves, corrected on site. A certified food handler was not on site.
