The cornerstone of the new high school building for Carson city will be laid Saturday afternoon, August eighth, with ceremonies conducted by the Masonic grand lodge of Nevada.
Tracy T. Fairchild, grand master of the grand lodge, will preside and have an important part in the service.
Persons who have papers or trinkets which they believe should be placed in the box that will be sealed and deposited in the cornerstone should bring their offerings to either E.C. Peterson, or J.P. Fodrin, the latter member of the Carson City school board, before the hour of ten o’clock on the morning of Saturday.
A list of the articles placed in the metal box will be made and a copy of it will be sealed in the container.
The laying of the cornerstone will be an impressive event and will be attended by a large number of Nevada residents, from all parts of the state.
