The Karson Kruzers will be celebrating their 31st Run What Cha Brung car show this weekend in Carson City.
The decades old car club will put on their car show from 6-10 p.m. on Friday and all day Saturday in Fuji Park. It’s a family friendly event, open to the public with activities for kids and adults to enjoy as they peruse the cars.
This event started more than three decades ago by a group of men who wanted to get together, and eventually their wives got involved and it turned into a big event, said member Tony Marcin.
“It’s a fun event to bring the kids and wife to,” Marcin said.
Anyone with a car, new or old is welcome to participate.
“If it has wheels and can drive, then it can come on down,” Marcin said.
There are an estimated 150-200 cars expected to attend the event, and the park will be set up with food vendors and activities for everyone to enjoy. There will also be a breakfast cooked by the club at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the cars will then begin a car parade to Downtown Carson City that spectators can watch as a part of the Battle Born 1864 Brews, Bike and Bubbly event happening on Carson Street.
“It is good for anyone who likes cars,” Marcin said. “It is just a lot of fun.”
Registration for the event runs from 7-9 a.m., with breakfast until 9. Judging will begin at 10 a.m. and awards will be given around 4 p.m.
