Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Five arrested in drug trafficking investigation

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 4:11 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of driving on license revoked and an out of agency warrant after deputies responded to reports of a possible intoxicated driver near 1600 Medical Parkway. Bail was set at $3,415.

FRIDAY

At 12:06 a.m., William Hornbeck, 45, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession for sales, failure to appear traffic, two counts of other agency warrants and license suspended after deputies received a tip drugs were being sold from the 3300 block of Imperial Way. At the same incident, Christian Minter, 19, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony maintain a drug house, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony trafficking 14-28 grams, felony sell/transport/give controlled substance, felony conspiracy to traffic controlled substance, felony possession of prescription without a prescription and violation of pretrial supervision; Caitlyn Beattie, 19, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony maintaining a drug house, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony trafficking controlled substance 14-28 grams, felony sell/transport/give controlled substance, felony conspiracy to traffic controlled substance and felony possession of a prescription without a prescription; and a 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail for Hornbeck was set at $50,399, bail for Minter was set at $108,000, bail for Beattie was set at $105,000 and bail for the 44-year-old was set at $3,000.

At 12:34 p.m., Russell Friesen, 58, was arrested on suspicion of felony trafficking, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession for sales, felony maintaining a drug house, felony possession of a prescription without a prescription and obstructing/resisting an officer with violence after deputies located another alleged accomplice to the other drug arrest. Bail was set at $70,300.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
