The Freight House District at Reno Aces Ballpark is seeking entries for its fourth annual Backwash home brew competition, whose proceeds benefit Project Great Outdoors.
The event features home brewers throughout the region who share their best ales, ciders and barley wines.
Champions will be named in People’s Choice and Brewers Choice categories. The brew that wins the Brewer’s Choice award will be brewed at Silver Peak, where it will become part of the tap line. The People’s Choice winner will receive $500.
Entry is free and comes with two tickets to the event, which is part of Reno Craft Beer Week, April 18-25. Registration is due April 1.
Project Great Outdoors helps at-risk youth by giving them a healthier outlook on life through outdoor activities and adventures.
