The Carson Valley Arts Council and the Proscenium Players, Inc. will present “Polter-Heist!” a hauntingly hilarious murder mystery dinner theater show on Friday, March 13, at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.
The production is an interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theater show written by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose.
The action takes place at the Carson Valley Inn where the Bogeyman Outreach Organization (BOO), a support group for ghosts, is holding its annual convention. The audience will witness a seance, meet the hotel’s ghoul-in-residence, and learn the dark secrets of the show’s characters — Madam Zelda and the professor, Phyllis and Jim Lodge, the hotel’s squabbling owners, Dana Scullery and Fox Smolder from BOO’s Washington, D.C., chapter, and Janet from Another Planet, a DJ with a past.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show begins at 6. There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Tickets are $35 for Friends of CVAC and $38 for general admission. Reservations are available for parties of eight. Tables of eight for Friends of CVAC are $265 and $280 for non-Friends of CVAC.
The cost includes buffet dinner with dessert. A no host bar will be available.
The event is Carson Valley Arts Council’s annual fundraiser, whose proceeds go to the CVAC’s Capital Campaign to retire the note on the Copeland Cultural Arts Center.
Tickets are not be sold at the door and can be purchased by March 10 online at www.cvartscouncil.com or by calling 775-782-8207. For more information and group reservations, call 775-782-8207.
