Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on felony warrant charging sexual assault

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 1:25 p.m., Ramon Medina-Lopez, 67, was arrested on suspicion of felony warrant charging him with sexual assault at an East Park Street apartment. Bail was set at $150,000.

At 4:54 p.m., an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny at Walmart. He also was charged with violating alternative sentencing conditions. Bail was set at $3,250.

At 7:59 p.m., a café employee at Slotworld was arrested on suspicion of warrant charging embezzlement. Bail was set at $20.000.

SATURDAY

At 12:53 a.m., a 67-year-old San Francisco man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies were called to Bodines on a report of a man refusing to pay a taxi driver. Dispatch confirmed that the suspect had an outstanding warrant. He was held in lieu of $635 bail.

At 1:43 a.m., a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI-drugs following a traffic stop at South Edmonds and Koontz Lane. He was ordered held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

At 5:15 p.m., John Saikoff, 23, was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges after deputies saw his vehicle sitting idle on the street in the 700 block of Silver Oak. He was arrested on suspicion of felony possession with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. He also was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and violating alternative sentencing conditions. Total bail was set at $13,600.

At 6:07 p.m., a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a temporary protective order and suspended sentence conditions at an East Long Street address. She was held in lieu of $4,000 total bail.

At 8:01 p.m., a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after a deputy witnessed him grab his girlfriend by the shirt in the parking lot of the Carson Nugget. He was held in lieu of $3,000 bail.

At 11:15 p.m., a 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of warrant charging domestic battery at Broadleaf Lane address. Bail was set at $3,000.

SUNDAY

At 12:08 a.m., a 29-year-old was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after deputies were called to the scene of a non-injury accident on South Saliman Road. The man described as driver at fault reportedly argued and refused to cooperate with the investigating deputy. He was held in lieu of $3,400 bail.

At 12:12 a.m., a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after a traffic stop on south Saliman Road. She was ordered held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

At 3:04 a.m., a 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense following a traffic stop on Telegraph after driving over the median while turning onto Carson Street. She was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

At 4:03 a.m., a 29-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after a traffic stop at Timberline Drive and Combs Canyon Road. He was also charged with failure to maintain a traffic lane and held in lieu of $1,040 bail.

At 5:17 a.m., a 29-year-old was charged with domestic battery-first offense after deputies were called to an apartment on California Street. He allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during an argument. He was also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and held in lieu of $3,600 bail.
