The Carson City Cultural Commission will elect its chairperson and vice chairperson and review a project that would line Carson Street with banners of images depicting local arts and culture events at its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center.
Sherry Rupert, executive director of the Nevada Indian Commission, will present about the history of the Stewart Indian School and future plans for a Stewart Indian School culture and welcome center, and Sharon Rosse of the Capital City Arts Initiative will talk about her group’s exhibits and events and its plans for the future.
Public comment is sought about Carson City’s International Film Weekend held Feb. 5-7 in the Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater.
