Carson City’s Board of Supervisors and other government panels will be together for training about ethics, open meetings and public records but no action will be taken on any issues.

City government issued a release on the scheduled workshop for training on March 26, at the same time notifying the public that quorums of each panel are likely but with no action won’t result in any violations. The training workshop is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. on that Thursday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

All members of the governing and advisory units have been invited to the session. It will open with remarks by District Attorney Jason Woodbury and close with a question-answer period and remarks by Adriana Fralick, chief deputy district attorney. In between will come presentations on Nevada’s ethics in government law, the open meeting law and the public records law so participants will understand how to avoid violations.
