Knights of Columbus dinner
Knights of Columbus Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner is on March 21.
Dinner will be held in the Saint Patrick’s Parish Hall starting with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $12 per plate and tickets can be purchased from any Knight or at the door.
Relay for Life Spring Fling
The Relay of Life is having its Spring Fling at the Old Post Office on March 20 from 4-7 p.m. and March 21 fom 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Vendors needed
For the 15th year, Soroptimist International of Fallon presents the Home, Garden and Recreation Show on April 17-18 at the Fallon Convention Center.
Vendors are wanted for the spring event. Indoor and outdoor spaces are available. Proceeds from the Home, Garden and Recreation show will benefit the Domestic Violence Intervention, Students in Transition, and the local Soroptimist Scholarship Program. The Amateur Radio of Churchill County (ARCC) invites all current amateur (Ham) radio operators or anyone interested in amateur radio to its monthly meeting, which is on the first Tuesday of the month at the Churchill County Administrative Complex, conference room 102, 155 N. Taylor St.
Amateur radio operators are invited to attend a weekly NET on Sundays at 6 p.m. at repeater 146.97 with a PL of 103.5 Hz to exchange information relating to general amateur radio topics.

Community Service Thrift Shop
The Community Service Thrift Shop at 169 E. Center Street is open 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each weekday.
We are a non-profit organization run by a group of dedicated community volunteers. We do not have room for bicycles, beds, couches or large televisions.
We will close the shop by the end of March after 28 years of service and assistance to the community.
Clearance sales all month and the shop display fixtures are also being sold to be removed before March 31. We are not receiving donations.

The monthly Navy League meeting will be held March 25 at the Silver State Officers Club, Naval Air Station Fallon.
Gary Wick, supervisory general engineer with the NAS Fallon Public Works Department will present information on the future capital improvement projects at the air station.

Volunteers needed for tax preparation
Churchill County Social Services will be participating in the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program for the 2014 Tax Season.
e are looking for volunteers to assist with income tax preparation. Individuals don’t have to have several years of experience in preparing income taxes but should enjoy working with the public. Training will be provided and volunteers who complete the tax season will be paid a stipend.
