Lewis George Jakubec Jr of Wellington, Nevada passed away on March 11, 2015 in Gardnerville, Nevada. A native of Chicago, he was born on March 10, 1934 to Lewis G. and Fern (Pratt) Jakubec. Lewis was a former consulting engineer in the field of EMC, and a resident of Topaz Ranch Estates since 1974 moving from Southern California. He married Dortha L. Lanagan on May 18, 1957 in San Diego, Ca. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Topaz VFW Post #3630 and of the Military Order of Cooties. He was an RSVPVolunteer at the Sheriff’s substation, and a former memberof the Antelope Valley Lions Club, and numerous professional organizations. Lewis is survived by his step-son Thomas M. Lanagan of Wellington, Nevada. Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada with no services. Final arrangements entrusted to Walton’s Funerals & Cremations Gardnerville, Nevada.
