Louise M. Perkowski

Louise M. Perkowski, age 82, passed peacefully at home, on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The cause was a long battle with cancer and other complications.Born August 12th, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to Mildred and Gilbert Wade, spending most of her developing years in Gahanna, Ohio. She married and became a mother in her early 20’s, raising two children, Deborah and Eric. When the kids were in upper grades, she began her professional career, starting as an Avon lady and working her way up to Regional Manager. After leaving a successful career at Avon, she became a top Financial Planner at Metropolitan Life. A number years after her divorce, she remarried George Perkowski, retired and relocated to Stage Coach, Nevada where she was active socially and loved to grow flowers. Louise was a member of Eastern Star, the Red Hat Club and the 55 Club. She love to dance and be active. Louise will be especially remembered for her gentle smile, enjoyment of life and people, and the perseverance to achieve success in whatever she set out to do. Survivors include her children, Deborah, Eric and their families, her longtime friend and companion, Joe Hurm, Services will be held at on 2 p.m., Monday, March 23rd, at the Carson City 1st United Methodist Church, 412 W. Musser St., Carson City, NV . Burial will be held in private. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service. Please make memorial contributions to the Cancer Society.
