Comedians to be featured at Carson City’s Nugget

Carson Comedy at the Carson Nugget is hosting two comedians, Leif Skyving and Jesse Joyce, both of whom have been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

Jesse Joyce, with appearances on BBC’s How Clean is Your House?, Date Night for AMC, Comedy Central’s inaugural season of Live at Gotham, Entertainment Tonight, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’s Pass The Mic and Stand-Up 360 with Caroline Rhea, will showcase his jokes in Carson City at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 17.

Joyce was a top 20 semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He can be seen regularly on History Channel’s I Love The 1880s and Red Eye with Greg Gutfield on the Fox News Network. He can be heard on the XM and Sirius Satellite Radio where his acclaimed CD, “Joyce to the World,” is part of the regular rotation.

Joyce has also written for Comedy Central’s roasts of Greg Giraldo, David Hasselhoff, Joan Rivers, Larry the Cable Guy, Bob Saget, Flavor Flav, Donald Trump, Charlie Sheen, Roseanne and Cheech and Chong.

Carson City’s new comedy venue will host Leif Skyving, born in Sweden but raised in Los Angeles, Calif., at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 24.

Skyving began his comedy career 20 years ago at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, Calif. His interactive shows are marked with mastery of characters and musical comedy.

The stand-up comedian has appeared on The Comedy Network’s Comedy at Club 54 and Comedy Kitchen, Last Comic Standing, ABC’s Three’s Company and General Hospital. Leif can be heard regularly on XM satellite radio.

Doors for both shows open at 6:45 p.m.; tickets to see each performer cost $13 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Tax is included, but online service fees apply.

The shows may contain adult content, and audience members must be 21 and older.
