Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for May 1. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

El Charro Avitia, 4389 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Big Lots, 4215 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Bistro at the Bryan, 901 S. Stewart St., scored 100 points.

Carson City Toyota, convenience store, 2590 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Comstock Casino, 3680 Goni Road, scored 100 points.

Dream Dinners, 135 Clearview Drive, Suite 123, scored 100 points.

Jackpot Crossing Casino, beverage center bar, 1897 N. Edmonds Drive, scored 100 points.

Juan’s Mexican Grill, 3680 Goni Road, scored 100 points.

Laundry Lounge, 1300 E. Fifth St., scored 100 points.

Melvin’s Car Wash & Detail, 1510 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Princess Gift & Party Supply, 933 Woodside Drive, Suite 101, scored 100 points.

Rand Avenue Convenience Store, 1800 E. Highway 50, Suite 14, scored 100 points.

Ron Wood Family Resource Center, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 62, scored 100 points.

Schat’s Bakery, The Cake Shop, 1212 S. Stewart St., scored 100 points.

Schat’s Bakery, restaurant, 1212 S. Stewart St., scored 100 points.

Tahoe Ridge Winery & marketplace, bar and lounge, 1105 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Schat’s Bakery, bakery, 1212 S. Stewart St., scored 98 points. Food in storage must be six inches off the ground. Containers of sugar, flour and other items weren’t covered between uses.

Tahoe Ridge Winery & Marketplace, 1105 S. Carson St., scored 98 points. Staff didn’t use gloves to prepare some salads and other ready-to-eat foods.

Adele’s, 1112 N. Carson St., scored 97 points. Some food was not properly labeled, and some wasn’t covered and organized in a way that prevented cross-contamination.

Carson City Recreation, upper snack bar, 5400 Heritage Way, scored 97 points. A reach-in refrigerator was at 47 degrees, when it should have been below 41 degrees. Some lights in the kitchen were not covered.

Jackpot Crossing Casino, first floor bar, 1897 N. Edmonds Drive, scored 97 points. The ice scoop handle was touching customer ice, and the ice machine was dirty.

Avanti Market at NDOT, 1263 S. Stewart St., scored 95 points. Expired products were available for customers to buy.

SpecialTeas Tea Shop, 111 E. Telegraph St., scored 94 points. Food in hot holding units were not above the required 135 degrees. A thermometer was not used to monitor the final cooking temperature. A final temperature of 165 needs to be confirmed for both roasted chickens and pot pies.

EZ Market, 262 W. Winnie Lane, scored 91 points. Many items were found past their expiration and use-by dates. Hot water was unavailable at some hand sinks.

Dollar Tree Store, 2709 N. Carson St., scored 88 points. Several food items, including eggs, were out of date. Hot water was unavailable in the bathrooms. Food products and plastic utensils were not stored at least six inches off the ground. Light bulbs were missing protective covers in food storage areas.
