Save money, use Utah’s executive chamber
I see our Legislature wants to spend almost $900 million to build an “execution chamber” in Ely. Now, other than incredulity at the thought that a room to dispose of a very few bad folk over a 20-year period should cost so much, perhaps we should consider subcontracting the use of a neighboring state’s mostly unused execution chamber?
Utah has one that is reputed to be in good repair, and Utah probably would rent the use of it for a lot less than 100 thousand dollars per execution. Big time money savings for our cash strapped state. Please, tell our legislators to stop spending money! We do not have an income problem; our problem is a lack of common sense and the resultant profligate spending ...
