Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Woman arrested on two counts of child endangerment

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 2:24 a.m., Tanya Shoemaker, 48, of Mound House was arrested on suspicion of felony probation and parole violation and no proof of insurance after deputies conducted a traffic stop near Highway 50 East and Deer Run Road. Bail was set at $600.

At 3:15 p.m., Lilia Gutierrez, 49, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony child endangerment/neglect after reports of two children left unsupervised in a car in the parking lot of the Highway 50 Dollar General. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 5:00 p.m., a 31-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 10:18 p.m., a 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and violation of probation. Bail was set at $6,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
