Still in the early stages of planning this year’s Nevada State Fair on July 30-Aug. 2 at Fuji Park in Carson City,
After a brief hiatus, the state fair was brought back last year during the state’s sesquicentennial celebration. Building upon the event’s success of that event, it will return this year.
This year’s feature event will be a Truck Pull at 7 p.m. July 31 put on by MLM Motorsports.
Beer gardens, with seating available inside tents, are also going to be scattered throughout the park this year.
Shuttle service will once again be provided from the parking garage at the Casino Fandango to the fairgrounds.
Other attractions will include a carnival, pig races, circus acts as well as commercial and food vendors.
“We’re really excited for this year’s fair,” Taylor said. “It’s going to be a fun, family friendly event that will have something for everyone of all ages.”
Volunteers are being sought for help with parking and other responsibilities, such as setting up and taking down the exhibit hall. Volunteers are also needed to check in entries and other exhibits and supervising livestock.
Fair organizers are also looking for bands and other performing arts groups to provide entertainment.
