Halina Janina Natallia Adamska was born in Krakow, Poland on May 7, 1927. Halina was 88 years old when she peacefully passed away on May 15, 2015, while residing at Carson Valley Senior Living in Gardnerville. After high school, she attended Jagiellonian University in Krakow, which was the second oldest university in Europe, being founded in 1346. Here she received her degree in English. Halina immigrated to the United States and worked as a secretary for the Kosciuszko Foundation Center in New York City. This foundation promoted the appreciation of the Polish-American heritage in America and is where she met her (future) partner Stanley Timoshek. Halina loved Stanley and dedicated her life to him. On December 2, 1975, Halina became a U.S. citizen. She and Stanley moved to Gardnerville, NV, in 1987, where she pursued her passion of hiking and skiing. She was known for having an open heart, a good sense of humor, and very elegant behavior.
