Geneal C. Stearns Jones

1926 - 2015

Geneal C. Stearns Jones, 89, passed away on October 20, 2015 in Citrus Heights, CA. Born in 1926 and raised in Grangeville, Idaho, Geneal obtained her master’s degree. She and her husband moved to Sacramento in 1958. Geneal taught school in Sacramento from 1961 through 1986, retiring from her teaching career at Louis Pasture Middle School. After her first husband’s death, she married JR Jones and moved to Carson City, NV where she lived for many years enjoying her retirement. Her biggest passions were gardening, cooking/baking, sewing/quilting, doll-making, card games, and her friends and family. Geneal is survived by her children, Rhonda and Robert (Rob), six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; first husband, Jack Stearns; second husband, J.R. Jones; and daughter, Risa.
