The Carson City Symphony Association is presenting an evening of music, wine, and dessert at 7 p.m. Saturday at the historic Bliss Mansion, 608 Elizabeth St. The recital will feature an award-winning classical harpist, Marina Roznitovsky Oster, who will play various solo works for harp.

Oster has performed with professional orchestras in the U.S., South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Principal harpist with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Susanville Symphony, and the Nevada Opera, she recently was a featured soloist with the Susanville Symphony, the TOCCATA Orchestra in Tahoe, and Oistrakh Symphony Orchestra in Chicago. She performed under the baton of Daniel Barenboim during a worldwide tour with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. She also soloed with the Carson City Symphony in April 2011.

Harp Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Truckee Meadows Community College, Oster has earned degrees in harp performance at Indiana University and is the winner of several awards and scholarships. Many of her performances have been broadcast on National Israeli and United States television and radio.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for Carson City Symphony Association members, and $5 for youth ages 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
