More than a dozen local authors are scheduled to talk about a range of topics — from history and music to memoir writing and the Holocaust — on Saturday at A to Zen, 1803 N. Carson St.
A Local Author Extravaganza, an event offering book purchases, signings and presentations by local authors, is from noon to 6 p.m., with author presentations scheduled from 1 to 3:15 p.m.
Presentations include: CW Bayer, who will talk about local history and music, from 1 to 1:15 p.m.; Laura Newman’s short stories from 1:20 to 1:35 p.m.; memoir writing with Carol Purroy from 1:40 to 1:55 p.m.; April Kempler, who will talk about her story about a Holocaust survivor, from 2 to 2:15 p.m.; Kathleen Berry’s presentation about paranormal activity from 2:20 to 2:35 p.m.; horror and thriller writer D.L. Whitehead from 2:40 to 2:55 p.m.; and mystery and suspense author Rick Cornell from 3 to 3:15 p.m. An author question and answer sessions follows from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
