Crystal Brown, 29, of Dayton, passed away on Oct. 30, 2015. Crystal was born to Cheryl Brown on Dec. 26, 1985 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno, NV. She resided in and attended school in Carson City. She worked at Ormsby Assoc. of Carson City for 13 years, as well as at Francesco Deli, The Real Scoop Yogurt shop, and the Nevada Legislature. Crystal had an amazing love for life and for people. She had a great sense of humor. Wherever she went, she knew and greeted and chatted with numerous people. She had a caring heart and would always go out of her way to help anyone who needed her. In school, she volunteered as a peer tutor, and at OACC, she worked with people with intellectual challenges, teaching and assisting them at their jobs and in their homes. She always felt that everyone should be treated with dignity, and this was evident in how she lived. Crystal liked animals, especially turtles, music, camping, talking on the phone, the Oakland Raiders, and NASCAR. She always enjoyed being with other people, no matter what the activity. Crystal is survived by her daughter, Jasmine Brundle (12), whom she loved immeasurably. Other surviving family members are her grandfather/adoptive father, Paul Brown, her aunts, Helen Coston and Theresa (Mark) Richardson, her great aunt, Mary Winkler, her partner, Will Bacon, her mother and step-father, Cheryl and Rick Hansen, her grandmother, Hazel Powell, her brother, Chris, and her sisters, Stephanie and Desarae, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 20th at 6:00 pm. at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, with a reception to follow.
