Human Performance Project guru to speak at Brewery Arts Center in Carson City

Sierra Nevada Forums’ next event is a presentation by John Underwood on pure performance based on the Human Performance Project.

The forum at the Brewery Arts Center (BAC) Performance Hall, according to BAC Director Gina Hill, is scheduled for the evening of Oct. 22. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation is expected a half hour later.

Underwood, the human performance consultant for the U.S. Navy SEALS, presents at various military bases, according to Sierra Nevada Forums, and he also has worked for 30 years with the International Olympic Committee. He has trained more than 25 Olympic athletes, according to a flier on the event.

In addition, according to pre-event promotional material, Underwood consults for sports federations that include the National Federation of High School Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Hockey League, the National Football League and the National Basketball Association.
