Carson City Catmandu, an adoption center and sanctuary for cats, needs volunteers to help foster kittens, clean the facility, transport cats for spay or neuter surgeries, fundraise and operate the center’s website.
More than 200 kittens have come through the center’s doors this year, a 250 percent increase in number of cats handled last year, according to Catmandu.
The center depends on volunteers to keep its doors open. To help, call 775-297-3419, or stop by the shelter, at 1829 Brown St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
