Update: One man was detained after allegedly threatening a group of people Tuesday afternoon.

The man, identified as 53-year-old Bradley Williams, was arrested after deputies responded to reports of a man threatening people with a shotgun near the Goni water tower off of Maxwell Road in Carson City. Three people were legally dismantling a vehicle near the tower when the man came on foot and allegedly told the group he was going to call the police on them and left. The witnesses told police that he then drove back to the group in his Jeep with a shotgun and allegedly loaded and pumped the barrel and started waving the shotgun around.

Deputies arrived at Williams residence near the 1800 block of Maxwell Road with guns drawn as the man refused to come out. After a few minutes he surrendered to deputies and was arrested.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and bail was set at $20,000.

No injuries were reported.
