Armando Navarro pleaded guilty on Tuesday to statutory sexual seduction of a 15-year-old boy.

Navarro, 25, was arrested after deputies found the two in a car while responding to a report of shots fired near Cottonwood Drive and Cedar Street. The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. May 29.

“I made a mistake,” Navarro, who works as a Carson City court clerk, told judge James Wilson.

He admitted to performing oral sex on the teen, who told deputies the two had sexual intercourse before that night.

Wilson set sentencing for Dec. 15. Navarro could receive up to four years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

In return for the plea, the DA’s office agreed to drop other charges filed in the case including committing sex acts in public and indecent exposure.

Navarro was listed as a Carson City Little League official but the incident didn’t have any connection to the league.

Wilson also told Navarro he will have to register as a sex offender. Navarro remains free on $17,000 bail pending sentencing.
